Hungry Valley SVRA
OHV Training Area
July, 2004
The Frame Twister starts with a number of railroad ties set at various angles, but so much loose sand has accumulated around them that they're just about level with the ground. The middle section of the course has a cement bottom lined with rocks. Finally there are more exposed railroad ties that will give you a little practice with flex and lining up your wheels. During the 2 rainy months of the year, this might even get muddy.
The Rocky Hill Climb has 3 routes. There is a smooth dirt pass up the middle, an easy route with small rocks cemented in place, and a monster route of giant bolders.
The Hard Ditch Course is short and very deep but not really hard. If you have long wheelbase or bad approach and/or departure angles you'll need to traverse it at an angle.
The cement Wheel Blocks give you a chance to show off your articulation and pose for a nice photo. Otherwise, I am not really sure why it is a part of the Training Area.
